Why Not Veneers?
Although veneers aren't directly comparable to the Invisalign system, veneers can deal with some of the
same types of cosmetic orthodontic problems. But veneers are considered more of a quick fix than Invisalign, and there are
some distinct disadvantages and drawbacks with veneers.
If you use veneers, your tooth enamel's entire front surface is permanently removed.
After this, the veneer, a thin piece of porcelain or plastic, is glued onto the front of your teeth.
This procedure is irreversible, since your tooth enamel has been permanently removed in order to attach the veneer.
Another issue with veneers is that they really are not a permanent solution.
Veneers can break or chip which requires that they are replaced on an individual basis.
